Hear Safe Tasmania is a registered private company dedicated to supporting companies of all sizes in Tasmania to help maintain the hearing health and workplace safety of your workers.
Hear Safe Tasmania operates throughout Tasmania, providing hearing and noise testing for businesses. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality hearing test reports that gives employers all the needed information to support the safety of your workers.
Hear Safe are agents throughout Tasmania for multiple hearing products, also manufacturing custom moulded ear plugs for industry and individuals statewide.
How We Started
Over ten years ago, David Closs commenced work at the Tasmanian Deaf Society as a screening audiometrist, conducting hearing testing for the community throughout Tasmania.

To assist with income generation for the Tasmanian Deaf Society, opportunities were identified doing hearing testing for industry and the making of custom moulded ear plugs. Over the last ten years, these two businesses became the primary focus of our work.

In 2017, the Tasmanian Deaf Society amalgamated with the Victorian Deaf Society and in 2018 became Expression Australia.
In 2018, the decision was made to discontinue the industry hearing testing and custom moulded ear plug business. After negotiation, it was agreed that David would purchase the industry hearing testing and custom moulded ear plug business and from July 2018, registered the business as Hear Safe Tasmania.
